Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouting family. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends. The Beaver Colony is made up of Beaver Scouts aged between 6 - 8. We holds a weekly meeting at the Scout Hut in Station Road, Hampton, every Wednesday from 6pm-7.15pm during school termtime. Our Beaver Colony Leader is Jeff Smith.

Beavers activities
Our activities include playing games, completing challenges, and having fun, whilst working to achieve badges from the Beaver Scouts programme,.
Away from our weekily meetings, we take part in other activities to enhance the learning and fun. In Summer, Beavers can attend Family Boating Days, trying out canoeing, rowing, kayaking, and other boats.  We also take part in events such a New Year's Party, and Beaver Fun Day and Sleepover.

Camp
At the annual 1st Hampton Hill Summer Camp in August each year, Beavers are invited to attend for one of the days, to take part in outdoor activities, including a large campfire.

The Beaver Colony is open to children aged from 6 to 8 and a half years (inclusive). On reaching 8 years, Beavers can move up (swim upstream) to the Cub Scout Pack.
