Cub
Pack The
Cub Pack holds a weekly meeting at the Scout Hut in Station Road, Hampton, every
Tuesday from 6pm-7.15pm (and until 8pm in the summer), except during school holidays
and half-term weeks. Cub
activities Activities
in the Hut consist of instruction mainly in land-based Scouting and other skills,
but with a water-based slant on some, working towards obtaining badges as listed
below, games, and indoor sports, and learning the Cub Promise.
Out
of the Hut, there are occasional outings, e.g. to local fire station, swimming
pool, Planetarium. In Summer, Cubs can attend Family
Boating Days, trying out canoeing, rowing, and generally messing about in
boats. Other
activities include - Chess competitions for Richmond District, Sports Day for
all packs in the District, County Cub Fun Day, Activity Day, Cub Challenge (Outdoor,
Creative, Global, Caring, Fitness) and Badge Day. At the
twice-yearly weekend residential Camp, older children can sleep under canvas.
Younger ones may wish to attend daytime sessions only, using skills learnt at
weekly meetings. Cub

The Cub
Pack is open to children aged from 8 to 10 and a half years (inclusive). On reaching
10.5 years, Cubs can move up to the Scout Troop. Our
Cub Pack Leader, known as "Akela", is Janet Fisher.
