Activities
The
1st Hampton Hill Sea Scout Group's aim is to provide instruction to boys and girls
of all classes aged 6 to 14 in the principles of discipline, loyalty, and good
citizenship, and in boating skills of all kinds, within the frame work of the
Scouting Association.

the specific activities of Cubs or Scouts, please click on the section
on the left in which you are interested.
Some
activities are undertaken by the Group as a whole. These include:
Family
boating days Family
boating days are held at the Boathouse on the Thames about three or four times
a year between May and September. They let families see the boating skills Scouts
and Explorers have learnt, and let Cubs see what is involved. Members
can take to the water under careful supervision, have a barbecue, and generally
have a fun day out with the Group.

"Twickeree"
Twickeree,
in Marble Hill House park, is a three-day jamboree of all Scout Groups in Richmond-upon-Thames
District held once every three years (next in 2009). It
gives Scouts and Explorers an opportunity to display non-boating skills; to sleep
under canvas for two nights; to take part in soap-box races and a gun carriage
race; to meet other Scouts and Sea Scouts from the District; to encourage interested
visitors to join us; and for Cubs to visit our site in the daytime
to get a flavour of what senior scouting is about.
St.
George's Day parade The
St. George's Day parade is held each year on the Sunday nearest to 23 April, together
with members of Scout Groups from all over the District.
